Meline's New Friend

Look at Meline cuddling with her new friend Piggy. What a cute stuffed animal. But wait!!!!.....

Its not just a fuzzy friend, its also functions as a bottle holder!!

Gotta love the multi-functional baby toys.... (Thanks Anne!)

Story Time

Meline got a new book in the mail from grandma. Here is Nathan reading her the story.

Nathan Wii'd In His Underwear

Get it???!??! ;-)

So while we still don't have a cell phone, we did break down and buy a Wii. Here is Nathan playing the bowling game. What fine form...

And he swings back........

follows through.....

and releases (literally....) see if you can find the Wii control (hint, its not in his hands where it is supposed to be!!)

Meline's New Trick

It took Meline FOREVER to figure out how to roll over. A week later, she figured out how to sit up. Go figure....

Here's Meline in action...

Pics of Meline - 5 1/2 months

Boy, I was doing so well on my blog and then things fell apart for a bit. Got busy with summer... Now I'm back on track, hopefully. To start things up, here are some updated pics of Meline. I can't believe she's almost 6 months old!!

Mom, here's the cute outfit you got her!

The Ultrasaucer

I didn't think Meline was ready for this toy until I found her sitting in one at her daycare. Here is Meline in her Ultrasaucer at home. She loooooves it!

Jolly Jumper

Here's Meline testing out her jolly jumper (with Michael vacuuming in the background). She has really gotten the hang of it since this video and will spend a good 20 minutes bouncing around and hanging out.

Sleepy Kids

A couple of weeks ago I made a quick trip down to Florida to drop Nathan off for a visit with my mom. One evening we visited grandma and grandpa. I don't think we got out of their driveway before Nathan and Meline passed out in the backseat of my mom's car...

Future Rock Star

Nathan has been taking guitar lessons for the past year. At the end of June, he had his first recital, playing Jason Mraz's song "I'm Yours." Nathan did not want to sing along while he played. We were shocked by this..... if you've spent more than 5 minutes with him in a car, you would know a) he knows the lyrics to every song on the radio, and b) he loves to sing along, usually loudly. Michael and I were dying to have him sing during his performance so we countered his refusal with "you don't have to sing, buuuut, if you do, you will earn a candy treat." He was sold. You'll notice in the video, however, that he changed his mind and starts playing without singing. Then a few seconds later, he makes a 180 and starts singing along. When we asked him why he finally decided to sing, he said it was because he didn't want his guitar teacher embarrassing him with her awful singing voice (his words, not mine). Guess we didn't need to bribe him with candy after all.... Here's a piece of his performance!
